Homebound, India’s official entry to the Oscars, is all set to release in India. However, if reports are to be believed, the film faced a tough time with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ahead of its release in India. A report by Bollywood Hungama recently claimed that Homebound was referred to the Revising Committee (RC), likely because the Examining Committee (EC) must have asked for several cuts. Following this, RC asked for several modifications in the movie.

Reportedly, the Revising Committee muted and replaced certain words at 6 places in the movie. It also asked the makers to delete the dialogue ‘Aloo gobhi…khaate hai’. A two-second visual of a man performing puja was censored. The word ‘gyaan’ was also replaced in the film.
