ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Phone lines at the Clyde S. Cahill Courthouse in downtown St. Louis have been down since Sept. 18.
Joel Currier, 22nd Judicial Circuit spokesman, said it was determined earlier this week the outage was caused by the breaking of phone lines that were stolen near the building.
Currier said city police are investigating, but in the meantime, the court is working to keep communication up and running as best as possible.
“In the meantime, the court is working to establish a dedicated phone line at the Carnahan Courthouse that will be answered by a rotation of court staff,” Currier said. “Those messages will be forwarded to intended parties at the Cahill Courts Building.”
