SHREVEPORT, La. — Six nonprofit organizations in North Louisiana received grants totaling $305,000 from the CHRISTUS Community Impact Fund to support programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of their communities.

The organizations were selected based on their programs that address key community health concerns, including chronic disease management, health education, mental health and wellness, safe housing and food insecurity. The recipient organizations from the CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System region are:

Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA)

Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana

LSU Ag Center

Shreveport-based Community Renewal International

Shreveport Green

St. Luke’s Mobile Medical Ministry, Inc.
