VIENNA, Ill. (KFVS) - The partial collapse of a two-story building in Vienna has caused two neighboring buildings to be closed for safety reasons.
The partial collapse reportedly happened at 1:55 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, at the building located at 124 North Fourth Street.
This is about one block northeast of the square.
According to the Vienna Police Department, the building was abandoned and unoccupied.
No injuries were reported, but the buildings on both sides of the partially collapsed building have been evacuated and closed off.
Police said Vienna Mayor Steven Penrod issued an executive order prohibiting anyone from being inside the State Farm Insurance office building, at 126 N. 4th St., and the Cross Creek Antiques Apartment, at 122 N. 4th St.
