CALDWELL COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A deadly crash involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck on Thursday night, September 25, is under investigation in Caldwell County, Kentucky.

The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. on Interstate 69 northbound, near the 75-mile marker, a few miles northeast of Eddyville.

According to Kentucky State Police, a preliminary investigation shows the driver of the semi was traveling northbound when he noticed the motorcycle was experiencing an equipment failure.

Investigators said the semi-truck with a trailer was traveling directly behind the motorcycle when it lost control and was unable to avoid a secondary crash.

The two riders on the motorcycle died at the scene.
