HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- Nearly 3,600 Santee Cooper customers in the North Myrtle Beach area are without power, according to the utility's website.
As of about 8:15 a.m., the outage was affecting 3,573 customers in an area between Highway 17 and Highway 31, and east of Robert Edge Parkway. It began at about 7:30 a.m.
The cause of the outage remains under investigation. The estimated restoration time is 9:30 a.m., according to Santee Cooper's outage website.
