FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — An early morning rock slide and vehicle accident disrupted traffic in Marion County on Friday.
According to the Marion County 911 log, the events, reported as both a rock slide and a vehicle accident with entrapment, took place on U.S. Route 250/Husky Highway around 6:25 a.m. The Marion County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Facebook page posted a short time later that the road, near the Pine Grove Bridge, was closed.
North Marion High School also posted to its Facebook page stating that they were aware of the traffic disruption and urged students to be careful.
A Marion County 911 official told 12 News that one person was transported from the accident, and the road has since reopened. It is unknown if one incident caused the other.
