A woman who was conned out of £700,000 by a fraudster impersonating Brad Pitt ended up homeless and divorced - but she doesn't entirely regret her actions for one significant reason.

Anne Deneuchatel, a 53 year old interior designer, was duped into an online relationship with a scammer who used AI-generated images and videos to convince her that he was the Hollywood star.

In February 2023, Anne received a message on Instagram from someone claiming to be Brad's mother. The following day, 'Brad' himself made contact, sparking a year-long virtual affair.
