LEXINGTON, Ky. —
A University of Kentucky football player who was suspended after a sexual abuse accusation is now under arrest.
According to Lexington Police, running back Jamarion Wilcox, 21, was arrested on Friday.
Back on Aug. 20, police took a report that he was involved in unwanted sexual contact at an off-campus apartment on South Upper Street.
Court records show the victim told police Wilcox was supposed to be visiting her roommate at their apartment when he went into her bedroom instead.
A protective order was filed and he was suspended from the team at the beginning of the football season, but it was unclear how many games he would miss.
The sophomore is now facing a charge of sexual abuse, first degree and was taken to the Fayette County Detention.
