Another portion of I-80 to undergo 55 hour closure for construction

(FOX40.COM) — A portion of Interstate 80 will be closed this weekend for construction.

Westbound I-80 and several on- and off-ramps will be closed from the Interstate 5 interchange to the eastbound U.S. Highway 50 interchange starting at 9 p.m. on Friday.

The road is expected to reopen by 4 a.m. on Monday.

The City of Sacramento suggests the following detours: • From westbound I-80 Take the connector ramp from westbound I-80 to southbound I-5 Continue to southbound I-5 • Take the connector ramp from westbound I-80 to southbound I-5 • Continue to southbound I-5 • From southbound I-5 Continue south on I-5 Take the connector ramp from southbound I-5 to westbound US 50 Continue to westbound US 50 • Continue south on I-5 • Take the connector ramp from southbound I-5 to westbound
