A woman was injured during a clash with another woman early Friday morning, said Chatham-Kent police.

A 49-year-old Chatham woman, at a Fifth Line residence, on the outskirts of Chatham, had visible injuries on her face when officers arrived around 1 a.m., police said.

The injured woman reported being struck by another woman, who had fled the scene, during a dispute, police said.

A 34-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault, police said.

The woman was held for bail, police said.
