DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- Three inmates at the Darlington County jail are facing additional charges after a contraband search turned up multiple phones and a homemade weapon, according to the sheriff's office.
Terry Frazier was charged with three counts of possession of contraband for having two cellphones and a phone charger, the sheriff's office said on Friday. Christopher Hall was charged with possession of contraband and carrying or concealing a weapon by an inmate for having a homemade weapon.
Lamar Simmons was charged with two counts of possession of contraband for having a cellphone and a charger, Sheriff Michael August said. The search was conducted by the sheriff's office with assistance from the South Carolina Department of Corrections and Hartsville police.
