(KRON) -- A man was arrested Thursday inside the Brentwood Police Department lobby after trying to pay his fees with a stolen credit card, according to authorities.
Adam Lew, 36, of Pittsburg, went to the station around 11:30 a.m. as he had towing fees that required payment, police said. Lew chose to put the fees on a credit card. The problem, according to Brentwood PD, is that the credit card was stolen.
“To our surprise, Lew attempted to pay using a credit card that didn’t belong to him,” Brentwood PD wrote in a Facebook post.
Officers responded to the lobby and placed Lew under arrest.
As officers were investigating, they found that Lew was also in possession of burglary tools and drugs, police said. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on pending charges.
