CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — The Chatham County Sheriff's Department (CCSD) has rescued a female juvenile from a suspected sex trafficking ring.

According to the CCSD, the department received reports of a missing female juvenile who was believed to be a victim of sex trafficking. CCSD coordinated with the Oklahoma Police Department and deputies launched a search in the Chatham County area.

The juvenile was found safe on Thursday night at a hotel near I-95 and Hwy 204.

A male suspect has been identified and the investigation remains ongoing.
