CHAMPION, Ohio (WKBN) - The Team Tressel Challenge continues to grow in the Valley.

Fourth graders at Champion Elementary are the latest to go on the 90-day journey.

Ohio State football star Doug Datish has been assigned as their challenge buddy. The Howland native visited their gym to cheer them on and take part in their daily exercise.

Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel is encouraging kids across the state to foster lifelong healthy habits through exercise, good sleep and a good diet.

Last month, he kicked off the campaign at Struthers Middle School. He was in Niles at the beginning of September.
