ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A former post commander at the Geneva American Legion indicted for grand larceny is currently wanted by the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, deputies confirmed to WROC Friday.
62-year-old Dale Mosher is accused of stealing more than $100,000 from the organization for more than six years.
In April, the Ontario County District Attorney's Office held a press conference to announce the charges and provide more details on the investigation, with current leaders of the Geneva American Legion calling Mosher's alleged actions a "betrayal."
Wednesday, the Ontario County Sheriff's Office listed Mosher under "Most Wanted." Additional information confirmed Mosher was due in court on September 18 and did not appear, and there is currently no knowledge of where he is.
