FORT DRUM, New York (WWNY) - Fort Drum soldiers and their families now have free access to bus transportation on post.
“Families, soldiers, people that just work on the base are having trouble getting around. There’s a lot of people who don’t have a license, or are one-car households, so this is definitely needed,” said Tiffanie Sadowski, community development program specialist, Lewis County Public Transportation.
The Alpine Express will stop at 50 locations on post. It’s a free service run through Lewis County Public Transportation. The two 35-passenger buses are ADA-compliant.
