WITTMANN, AZ (AZFamily) — The Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (AFMA) has confirmed that crews are responding to reports of two people trapped in a wash in Wittmann, a rural community located about 35 miles northwest of Phoenix.
Emergency crews were called out to the area of 227th Avenue and Patton Road , about 4 miles west of the U.S. 60, on reports of a water rescue following heavy rainfall in the community.
AFMA crews, as well as teams from the Surprise Fire Department and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, are responding, fire officials confirmed.
