YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - For some Youngstown high school students, the cycle of violence is never very far away.

About 30 students from Chaney and East high schools took a tour of the Mahoning County Courthouse Friday. They heard from Judge Anthony Donofrio and Prosecutor Lynn Maro about the judicial system.

"I've had family members that were victims of drug violence that have gone to prison, have done bad things, and had bad things done to them. It's all around," said Yoad Rodriguez, a Chaney High School student.

The students were then taken outside, where they created their own art as part of the annual "Chalk the Walk" exercise.

"Because it's so central. It's such a central location, a lot of people are going to see it and perhaps feel inspired by it," said Lilly Snidar, a Chaney H
