BREWER, Maine (WABI) - Roy Stone and Judith Baizan have been a dancing duo for the past 18 years, but that’s not where their journey began.

It all started after Baizan and her husband, Ernesto, attended Stone’s school for dancing.

“We saw a notice in the paper that they had dancing, and I said to my husband if it’s ballroom they’re going to do waltzes and tangos and Pasa Dobles and bolero and things like that that we like to dance to those rhythms,” Baizan said.

After Ernesto passed away, Roy wanted to give Baizan a reason to keep pursuing her passion.

“That’s when I asked her to continue dancing and learn with me on an individual level,” Stone said.

What began then was an unlikely bond that has not only lasted nearly two decades but has also boosted them into the mainstream spotlight
