OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The widespread rain and storms this past Monday only ended up producing 0.35″ of rain at Eppley Airfield (where official Omaha records are kept) while much of the rest of the metro ended up with 1-3″ of rain.

It had me wondering just how much rain can vary among the random thunderstorms that pass through our area. I ended up finding some interesting trends for the month and the year.

Check out this map showing the percent of normal precipitation across the viewing area this month. Big differences from west to east with more west and less east. The same can even be said for the metro area too.

More of the same is found for the year too but to a lesser degree. More to the northwest and less to the southeast.
