EUGENE, Ore - Social media experts are warning sports fans about fake fanpages targeting social media users.

The fan pages are flooding social media sites like Facebook and mask themselves as accounts with the latest news and headlines for sports fans to follow about their favorite teams.

" Oregon Victory Squad ," " Duck Nation News ," and " Quack Attack Nation ," are just some of the many pages with fake news targeting Ducks fans.

"The pages that we're talking about today are pages that are trying to feed you content that could be for one of a couple of purposes," said Dan Faltesek, a professor of social media and cultural analytics at Oregon State University.
