The Mega Millions jackpot rose to $474 million for the drawing on Friday, Sept. 26, after no one matched all the winning numbers in the drawing on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

If someone matches all six numbers, they will have the option of a one-time cash payment of $219.4 million.

This year, there have been four Mega Millions winners . The most recent winner, from Virginia , claimed a jackpot of $348 million on June 27. Before that, an Ohio player won a $112 million jackpot on April 18.

On March 25, a lucky ticket holder in Illinois took home $344 million, and earlier in the year, on Jan. 17, another winner in Arizona won $113 million.
