If you’re looking to spice up your lunch break or grab a fresh, handmade dinner, a new food truck in Esquimalt is serving up more than just delicious Middle Eastern cuisine—it’s also serving culture, community, and a whole lot of heart.

It’s called Tarboosh and you’ll spot the food truck by the bright red fez painted on the side

“‘Tarboosh’ is actually the fez hat that I’m wearing, and it’s just inspired me when I saw my grandpa, he was wearing it as a uniform in the [Egyptian] military,” says Tarboosh owner Halah Abouhassan.
