Kenny Lawler landed in Winnipeg with his Hamilton teammates on Friday, got to the hotel and promptly ordered a double-double with three cream and two sugar.

“I like my coffee like dessert coffee,” the Tiger-Cats receiver said over the phone.

He also doubled down on what he told another media outlet two weeks ago when the Ticats played host to his old team: That the Blue Bombers waited until the day before free agency to make him a contract offer last winter.

“They have a business agenda they’re going by,” Lawler said. “It sucks to be put last on the priority list, but I’m very happy where I’m at.”

He comes into Saturday’s game as arguably the league’s top receiver, his 11 touchdowns four better than the next guy, his 1,190 yards second only to B.C.’s Keon Hatcher.
