MARSHALL, Minn. — Eighth-ranked Southwest Minnesota State set the tone early and cruised to a 25-20, 25-14, 26-24 sweep over Minnesota State Moorhead in NSIC volleyball on Friday night.
Raiah Mandell led the Dragons with nine kills while Maci Martini added seven.
The Mustangs raced out to an 11-4 lead in the first set. The Dragons had a chance in the third set, leading 24-22, but the Mustangs, behind 13 kills from Mya Krystosek and Ashley Peltier, got a kill from Krystosek for a 25-24 lead and went on to win the match.
Brielle Riess had six kills, eight digs and two blocks for the Dragons. Leah Laqua also had six kills to go along with three blocks.
