HONOLULU (Island News) -- Honolulu police arrested a man and a woman in Beretania Community Park after they allegedly damaged parked cars early Friday morning.
Officers were alerted at about 2:15 a.m. on Sept. 26 about two suspects damaging cars parked on ‘A‘ala and N Kukui Street. After responding to the scene, a 31-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were located inside Beretania Community Park.
As both suspects were getting arrested, the male suspect resisted and kicked an officer as he was handcuffed. The attack caused the officer to have a shortness of breath and suffer pain.
The owner of one of the damaged cars told police that the estimated damages is more than $2,000.
