WINCHESTER – Led by a blistering rushing attack, Winchester made an emphatic early-season statement on Friday night.
The Red and Black stomped their way past previously undefeated Masconomet, storming to a 56-22 victory at Knowlton Stadium.
Playing a style of football that was equal parts physical and explosive, Winchester (3-0) capitalized on nearly every Masco mistake. Despite having three new starters on the offensive line, Winchester dictated the pace, which led to a dominating performance from senior captain Gianni DePrimeo, who ran for five touchdowns.
“My linemen were fantastic,” said DePrimeo (16 carries, 290 yards, five TDs). “Our receivers were blocking, too. It takes a team, and everyone was dialed in.”
