BELFAST -- The Mattanawcook Lynx traveled to Belfast to play the Lions under the light on Friday.
In the second quarter, the Lynx were right on the goal line and junior quarterback Carter Milner kept the ball and pushed through the defensive line for the score.
On the ensuing Lions drive, sophomore quarterback Conner Barrett threw a checkdown to his receiver which was caught, but junior Bryce Dicker came in from behind and punched the ball out. Andrew Vanadestine would recover and the Lynx were set up in great field position.
After the Lynx fumbled on the very next play, the Lions found themselves inside the 10-yard line, where they would hand it off to junior running back Noah Parenteau for the touchdown run.
