MOORHEAD — A Moorhead-based nonprofit is planning a $600,000 project leaders say could reshape the future of disability services.

Creative Care for Independence, better known as CCRI, announced plans for a twin home that would include a barrier-free, high-tech living space on one side and offices for its Independent by Design program on the other.

“This is so exciting to think that, like for once, I can do something, I can, you know, be away from my parents and live on my own in a way that I never got to be able to before I had CCRI,” said Hannah Papenfuss, who hopes to move into the home.
