One of the reasons 67-year-old New Market resident Bob Bofinger continues to compete in Wildwater racing is to help drum up interest in the sport, but it’s always nice to win and/or earn a spot on the U.S. team for marquee events.

Bofinger did all those things at the 2025 USA Wildwater National Championships on the Potomac River on Aug. 30-31.
