HERMON -- The Hermon Hawks hosted the Hampden Broncos on Friday night.
Starting on their own 30-yard line, Hermon's own Sam Hopkins was able to break several tackles on his way to a 70-yard touchdown, leaving the Broncos defense behind him on his way.
On the next Hermon possession, Griffin Dunton received the hand-off and attempted to turn the corner, but the Broncos' Logan Powers used his speed to beat Dunton to the spot and forced him out of bounds.
That didn't stop the Hawks offense though, and later on running back Dylan Yeo found the endzone, walking in untouched and Hermon walked off the field with a shut out 35-0 win.
Hermon (4-0) is set to face Skowhegan next Friday, and Hampden (0-4) will take on Old Town the same night.
