Buchholz gains inside track for a district title in massive win over Nease

GAINESVILLE — On the first play from scrimmage, Buchholz football coach Mark Whittemore screamed in frustration.

A dwindling play clock forced him to call timeout to prevent a delay of game. That mistake, so early in the game…it’s usually a bad omen.

However, like so often this season, the black and gold defied the odds. Instead of fizzling out and falling to Nease, the Bobcats delivered their best performance of the season.
