ST. CHARLES — The Pattonville High boys soccer team came out of halftime Friday night at St. Charles High feeling a bit uneasy.

But all that changed in just 34 seconds.

The Pirates struck for a goal less than a minute after the halftime break and went on to a 1-0 win over Troy Buchanan for the championship game of the St. Charles School District United Tournament at St. Charles High on Friday night.

With the win, the Pirates improved to 6-4 on the season. Troy slipped to 3-7.

"First off, credit to Troy,'' Pattonville coach Marcus Christian said. "They started strong and they played a tremendous game. They possessed the ball and they created some great chances throughout the game. At times, it looked like they had us.
