The Brisbane Lions have roared to their second consecutive AFL premiership, with a sensational fourth quarter display putting the Geelong Cats to the sword.

The Lions won the 2025 AFL grand final with a commanding 47-point win over the Cats in front of 100,022 fans at the MCG.

The Lions finished 18.14 (122) to Geelong’s 11.9 (69), securing back-to-back premierships.

The contest was tight early with scores locked at half-time, the first time that had happened in a grand final since 1909.

But Brisbane broke the game open in the third quarter, kicking three unanswered goals to take a 19-point lead into the final break.

From there, the Lions dominated the last term, piling on the pressure and running away with the match to seal the flag.
