What is now labeled Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine is forecast to develop into a tropical depression over the Bahamas by Saturday night and a hurricane parked off the coast of Jacksonville by Monday.
“PTC 9 is forecast to make an uncomfortably close pass near Florida late Sunday through Monday, with ensemble guidance continuing to favor a northward motion as it parallels the coast,” the National Weather Service in Melbourne stated.
