The Heart and Stroke Foundation has launched a new online tool to help people better understand their personal risks for those issues.

A new study from the foundation shows that only about half of all Canadians understand what their own risks are.

To combat this, the foundation has launched an online tool known as a “risk screen” that helps people understand their personal risk factors, including those that are unique to women, and help them create an action plan for a healthier life.

Dr. Ritika Parkash, a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at the Health Sciences, says it is important for people to know their risk factors so that they can do something about them.
