Ocean City scored twice in the first half and held on for a 14-7 home victory against Hammonton.

Triston Schmidt opened the scoring for Ocean city with a ten-yard touchdown rush that took him over 1,000 yards for his career.

Senior Michael Ragazzi caught a 12-yard touchdown with 0:45 left in the first half, extending the Ocean City lead to 14-0.

Neither team could get its offense going in the third quarter, with no points scored in the period.

A 21-yard touchdown catch from Samorie Gardner helped Hammonton inch back into the game, making the score 14-7 with 4:40 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Ocean City(3-2) was able to hold on through a defensive stop to claim the victory.

Hammonton(1-4) will play Kingsway on Oct. 3.
