BRISTOL, Tenn. – This year's Tennessee High football team found itself lugging around an 0-3 record in the twinkling of an eye, but another blink suddenly has the Vikings feeling mighty good about themselves, right at the perfect time.

With the start of conference play straight ahead, the Vikings won their third straight outing Friday night at the Stone Castle, riding a downhill snowball in the second half to turn a tight game into a 43-7 rout of Abingdon.

Tennessee High (3-3) ripped Virginia High by the same score last Friday, one week after the Vikings had blanked Cocke County 35-0.

All of a sudden, a blowout loss at West Ridge and two close defeats to local strongboys Elizabethton and Science Hill are just a fading memory
