Pitt will host Louisville for its ACC opener without star tailback Desmond Reid, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Reid was listed as questionable on two official injury reports submitted by the Panthers to the ACC on Thursday and Friday night.
Reid missed more than three quarters of Pitt’s Week 3 loss at West Virginia while nursing that lower-body injury. He remained in uniform, with his helmet on, among his teammates on the sidelines for the remainder of the game.
When asked Monday if Reid had practiced at all during the bye week, all Pat Narduzzi said was, “He was out there.”
