JAMESTOWN – One person was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for injuries following a collision between a motorcycle and pickup on Friday, Sept. 26, said Lt. Andrew Staska of the Jamestown Police Department.

The crash happened at 5:55 p.m. at the intersection of 8th Avenue and 13th Street Northeast.

Staska said a Ford Ranger driven by a female juvenile was stopped at a stop sign, going south on 8th Avenue Northeast. The driver had yielded to other traffic and thought it was clear to proceed into the intersection, not seeing a westbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle coming. The motorcycle, driven by a man, was struck in the middle of the intersection, Staska, and laid down on its side.
