OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - It’s the day many in the city have been waiting for since their champ made history earlier this month.
Omaha is welcoming record-setting boxer Terence “Bud” Crawford back home with open arms Saturday, hosting a parade through Midtown that ends with a celebration of his latest victory. Two weeks ago, he became the first boxer to capture three unified division titles .
The parade is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Mayor John Ewing Jr. will be among many taking part in the parade down Farnam and Harney streets. Following the parade, he and others will take the stage at the celebration — featuring local musicians and more — at the end of the route, in the heart of downtown Omaha.
