There was plenty of preseason hype around quarterback Fernando Mendoza before he suited up for Indiana football .

And he's backed it up with elite efficiency. Mendoza has accounted for 16 touchdowns with zero turnovers. His 14 touchdown passes are more than his 10 incompletions. And in his final season at Cal and this season with the Hoosiers, he has been elite in the red zone.
