BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football starting corner D'Angelo Ponds was listed as questionable on the team's availability report for the Iowa game with an undisclosed injury.
Ponds, who earned second-team preseason All-America honors from six outlets, blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown in last week's 63-10 win over Illinois . He has 11 tackles (10 solo) with three for a loss and one interception this season for the No. 12 Hoosiers (4-0).
Per PFF, he's only allowed nine receptions on 15 targets for 55 yards.
Northern Illinois transfer Amariyun Knighten would likely get the starting nod for Ponds if he's unable to play. Knighten has played in 27 career games and made 13 starts. Looking for a free mini puzzle? Play the USA TODAY Quick Cross now.
