NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard late Friday evening and later died from injuries sustained, according to New Haven police.

Officers were called to the area of Ella T. Grasso Blvd. and Judson Avenue around 10 p.m. for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

Arriving officers found a female victim on the right, southbound side of Ella T. Grasso Blvd. with injuries.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where she later died. The victim has not been identified at this time.

The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police, officials said.
