HICKORY COUNTY, Mo. — A three-vehicle crash resulted in a five-year-old boy from Preston, Missouri, dying from his injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, on Sept. 26, a crash occurred when one vehicle attempted to take a left turn off of US-65 near Preston, and was hit from behind, forcing it to be pushed into the path of a third vehicle.

This is Troop D's 101st fatality crash for 2025.
