The Steelers have elevated Trey Sermon to the active/inactive roster from the practice squad ahead of Pittsburgh’s Week 4 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, the team announced on Saturday.

Sermon will revert back to the practice squad following the game.

It’s the second straight week Sermon has been elevated; against the Patriots he appeared on three kickoff returns.

Sermon has replaced Steelers third-round rookie running back Kaleb Johnson in that role following the latter’s early-season mistakes on special teams. However, Johnson was not an inactive last week despite not appearing for a single snap.

Steelers starting running back Jaylen Warren is dealing with a knee injury and has a questionable designation for Sunday’s game, even if he’s expected to play per ESPN’s Adam Schefter
