Viewers settled in to watch the first live show of Strictly Come Dancing 2025 tonight, but many quickly found themselves frustrated before the programme had even started. ‌

Fans, with their snacks laid out and cups of tea in hand, were expecting the show to kick off promptly at 6.55pm. Instead, three minutes past the scheduled start time, they were still watching a series of adverts for other upcoming BBC programmes. ‌

Predictably, many took to social media to express their frustration, all making the same complaint about the delay before the beloved dance show even began, the Mirror reports. ‌

On X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan wrote: "Cmon now hurry tf up #Strictly," while another simply added: "#Strictly ffs hurry up!"
