A Scots lawyer murdered in the US filed for a restraining order against her husband accused of killing her, it has been revealed.

Jonathan Renteria, 25, is accused of killing lawyer June Bunyan, 37, in Los Angeles after she began packing to leave their home, warning she would not let him see their baby daughter again. Prosecutors earlier confirmed that he fell out with the mother after she failed to lose weight just weeks after giving birth.

Now, NBC4 reports that June, from Arran, filed for legal protection from her then-partner after he allegedly subjected her to prolonged abuse. In her request for the restraining order, she reported that the couple had either a current or previous dating relationship and had lived together as a family.
