Emergency services raced to a residential street in West Lothian in the early hours of Saturday morning after a car went up in flames by a primary school. ‌

Locals reported to being woken up by "gun-like" bangs just after 4am at Glendevon Park in Winchburgh. ‌

Photos from the scene show a car engulfed in flames near a block of flats and parked right beside multiple other vehicles. ‌

Neighbours alerted the emergency services to the incident just across from Winchburgh Primary School.

It's currently unknown whether the incident is being treated as wilful. ‌

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) told the Record: "An initial call was received at 4.19am on Saturday, September 27, to attend Glendevon Park in Winchburgh.
